Matthew 8: 26

And he said to them, "Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?"  Then he rose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.

Isn't it wonderful that our Lord can do this?

Easy Korean Beef

Thankfully, my husband started cooking this before I got home.  Not that it is hard.  I just got home late, so this made it quicker to get it done.

Ingredients:
1 pound ground hambuger meat
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
1/4 Cup Soy Sauce
1 Tablespoon olive oil
3 Cloves Garlic
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Brown your hamburger meat and garlic in olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.  Drain any fat that might have cooked out of it.  Add your brown sugar and soy sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.  After this step, I took a portion of it out for my boys that do NOT like spicy stuff.  Then, add the red peper flakes, and simmer for another 10 minutes.

Serve over white rice.

Enjoy!

Matthew 9: 2

And behold, some people brought to him a paralytic, lying on a bed.  And when Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, "Take heart, my son; your sins are forgiven."

Our Lord is so awesome!!!!!

Matthew 10: 24-25

A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master.  It is enough for the disciple to be like his teacher, and the servant like his master.  If they have called the master of the house beelzebul, how much more will they malign those of his household.

Matthew 12:50

For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.

Amen!  ALL Christians are family!

No Poo Journal:  Day 4

I washed my hair today, and it did MARVELOUS!  It has so much bounce and shine.  You can't see it in this picture, but it does have shine.
Again, I wash my hair with 1 cup of water mixed with 1 Tablespoon of Baking Soda.  Then I rinse that out.  Then, I condition my hair with 1 Cup of water mixed with 1 Tablespoon vinegar.
No, there is no vinegar smell.  Hubby does a smell test all the time.

And the best news?  No more carcenogens being washed INTO my hair and then fed to my scalp and body through my hair folacles.

Have a GREAT day!

Matthew 13: 45-46

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls, who, on finding one pearl of great value, went and sold all that he had and bought it.

Another POWERFUL verse.  He paid the ultimate price for our sins.  WOW!  Thank you Lord!

PIZZADILLAS

Have you ever had them?  Oh my goodness, they were delicious.  And OH so EASY!

As you know, I am trying to become vegetarian, but I still cook for my family that are carnivores.  LOL!  Well, this night, I was tired after a long day at the office and I just didn't know what in the world to fix.  I knew I didn't want to call out for pizza, yuck!  So, the next best thing was a Pizzadilla.  I pulled out the George Foreman press cooker and then got out all the ingredients and proceded to make them.  It took all of 20 minutes to get supper cooked.  And then my dear sweet hubby took care of anybody that wanted seconds.
 Ingredients:
Tortillas (I used spinach tortillas for mine, flour tortillas for everybody elses.
Pepperoni
Spaghetti sauce (you could use pizza sauce, but we had spaghetti sauce in the fridge that needed using up.)
Any other ingredients you may want.  I sauted onions, bell peppers, and black olives for mine.
Mozzerrella cheese

Directions:
Spread the sauce around the tortilla until almost at the edges.  Place your ingredients on half of the tortilla.  Fold over, and place on griddle.  cook until cheese melts and oozes out (YUMMY!).  Remove from griddle, cut and serve.
Enjoy!

1 Corintians 6:19-20

Or do you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirt within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price.  So glorify God in your body.

Wow, what a powerful verse.  There are so many ways you can take that.  Glorify God in what you eat and put into your body.  Glorify God by what you wear ON your body.  Glorify God with what you DO with your body.  And I'm sure there are many more.

 Ingredients:
2 Cups Orange Juice (Can you tell I really like OJ?)
1 Cup Frozen mango
1 Cup Frozen Strawberry slices
1 Banana

Mix till it is smooth, hence the name smoothie.....

Enjoy!

Proverbs 3:5

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.

My daughter and I started a Bible study class a couple of Sunday's ago, and this is our memory verse for the week.  We are really loving the Bible study, even though she grumble every Sunday morning when we go.

Today's Smoothie is a tropical one.  It got me in the mood for summer, even though its only in the 60's today.

I only had a few frozen bananas left, so I used them up.

Ingredients:
2 Cups Orange Juice
2 Cups Pineapple/Mango
1/2 Cup Frozen Banana

Mix until smoothie like.
Enjoy!

1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

THE BIRTHDAY CAKE!

Ok, I have a confession to make.  I have never made a birthday cake in my entire life.  But, my middle child had picked out what he wanted back in August of last year, and he has not forgotten.  So, who am I do deny him the pleasure of getting exactly what he wanted.  So, I set out to make the cake.

So, once again I used the recipe from the icecream cupcakes.  Well, little did I know that this is a pound cake and it doesn't "fluff" up like a box cake.  So, I had to make more and more cakes to make it like I wanted.  I would not recommend this cake recipe for a birthday cake again.  When the next birthday cake comes around, I WILL be using a new recipe.

So, anyway, I made a Double batch for the sheet cake on the bottom.  Then, 2, 8" round cakes for the top.  Then, I ran out of butter...........  I still needed buttercream icing.  Well, you can't make butter cream icing without butter, so I sent my sweet hubby to the store to get me LOTS more butter.

Here is the recipe for the butter cream icing.  It was really good!

1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks or 1/2 pound), softened (but not melted!) Ideal texture should be like ice cream.
3-4 cups confectioners (powdered) sugar, SIFTED
1/4 teaspoon table salt
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
up to 4 tablespoons milk or heavy cream

Directions:
Beat butter for a few minutes with a mixer with the paddle attachment on medium speed. Add 3 cups of powdered sugar and turn your mixer on the lowest speed (so the sugar doesn’t blow everywhere) until the sugar has been incorporated with the butter. Increase mixer speed to medium and add vanilla extract, salt, and 2 tablespoons of milk/cream and beat for 3 minutes. If your frosting needs a more stiff consistency, add remaining sugar. If your frosting needs to be thinned out, add remaining milk 1 tablespoons at a time.

So, I made a batch of white and iced the bottom layer.  Then, I made the red and iced the round cakes.  Then, I purchased some all red M & M's, and a bag of all white M & M's, and then just a small bag of regular M & M's.  I placed each and every M & M on that cake.

And here is the results of the cake.  My son LOVED it, so that is all that matters!

Psalm 34:8

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!  Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!

I'm feeling a bit better today.  So, I'm not going to up my vitamin C today.  Although, I am getting a good amount in my smoothie.

This is what we used to call a SUICIDE when I was young.  We would mix every kind of "soda" together and drink it.  So, today I am almost out of grape juice, so I'm using that up.  And then the rest of the liquid is Apple juice (since apple juice is not very strong, it won't cover up the grape juice).

2 Cups Juice
2 Cups Pineapple/Mango
1 Cup Blueberries

Mixing it up!
Oops, no after picture......

Anyway, it was good!  Enjoy!!!!

Psalm 135:3

Praise the Lord, for the Lord is good; sing to his name, for it is pleasant!

So, I'm feeling a little under the weather today, so I want to boost my vitamin C intake.  Your smoothie is an excellent way to accomplish this.

THE OJ, STRAWBERRY, NANA SMOOTHIE!

2 Cups Orange Juice
2 Cups Sliced Strawberries
1 Banana
1 Tblsp Chia Seeds

I forgot to take a picture of it mixing.  I told you I was feeling under the weather.....

Here is the results!

Drink up and Enjoy!

1 Corinthians 2:12

Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God.

THE WHATEVER IS IN THE CABINET SMOOTHIE:

2 Cups Apple Juice
2 Cups mixed fruit
1 Cup Blueberries
1 Banana

Mixing it up!

The results!   See that cloudy stuff on the side of the right hand cup?  Yea, I let them sit on the counter for a minute and it started to seperate.  If this happens to you, just take your spoon and stir it up and enjoy!
